Hey there, is it true that it ain't over till the fat lady sings?? I only found out about this awesome competition yesterday and although that leaves very little time to get my profile going, I figure you gotta be in it to win it, right? And I would kick myself (really hard) if I didn't at least give it a shot for the whole 1.5 days left (and have been warned by everyone I know that they would do the same)!!! Good luck with the comp, you've done some awesome work! Very Impressive! I would love you to check out my profile and let me know what you think, including any tips for this newbie. See you backstage!!! Suzii Q

Favourite Gig Of All Time
Like a good kiss, a good gig can leave you feeling elated and wanting more. Drums mimic the fast beat of your heart. The lead vocal taking you away to a place that doesn’t even exist. Like love, you shout out the lyrics for the world to hear. You look around to your friends who are smiling back at you with a grin that simply says “I know”. And so like good kisses, I have experienced many good bands, but which one was the most memorable? Which one will I compare against all others from now on? I ask myself was this particular gig good because I wasn’t expecting it? Or perhaps it was the people I was there with? Maybe it was just because it was familiar and I trusted it and in doing so they took me to new levels. The band was Regurgitator 2008 MMF. It was raining like I can never remember it raining before. It was like the earth had saved up 2 years worth of water supply and dumped it on us at that very moment. The fluorescent lights were dancing with the water, you could see the crowd breathing. There was no stopping The Gurg. It was like the band had been taken over by a force bigger than them. With mud splattering around me, my friend grabbed me and hoisted my up on his shoulders. I looked up at the dark sky, let the rain hit me hard in the face, closed my eyes and let the music take my in and take me over. I was a meter from the front. I honestly swear to you it was like I was doing a duet with Quan Yeoman’s himself. Which brings me to my question? What was your favourite gig? Where, when and why? I am interested to hear what rocked your world....
hi

Oh awesome. How was it over there? Hope you had a nice flight. Mine's no where near as great as I'd like. I've been pretty much just surfing the net, playing guitar and listening to music during the day and working at night. It just means I have to do something interesting next weekend haha.

Natasha Kahn
How can we make it so we can both be her? We need to go to her concert steal some saliva and store it in a test tube until make it at home cloning kits are on the market. ... Or I could just learn to sing, buy a bike and cut my fringe. I think the first option sounds like more fun. jb
taliaualiitia
wow. thanks for the add. definitely brilliant profile. front row bandit, i admire that. most of the time i end up in the front row and then thanks to some ungracious people with a penchant for jabbing elbows and spilling drinks i quickly find myself in the mass. not a bad place to be most of the time, but there is always a yearning to be as close as possible! ha.
hey girlie!
thanks so much! that is so lovely to hear. great profile. all the best lovely :)
Cheers
Thanks for the add - rad blogs!!!
BLoggasaurus!
Wow! Good work man, you've been hard at it! Great to see another music freak out there! More importantly - PATTON TOUCHED YOU?????? wow.
life and all things related
wow, that sounds pretty awesome. what club is it? those travels sound amazing. i want to do something like that but i keep spending all my money on local gigs and buying cds. it is an addiction i just can't seem to fight...nor do i really want to. i just finished studying media at unsw. currently just working at a pub and volunteering with www.musicfeeds.com.au do a bit of writing and stuff for them. all the interviews i posted up are ones i did over the phone but hopefully putting up my first video one soon. interviewed miami horror at oxford art factory. was great fun. no idea what i am going to do though. this job is quite ideal as it is everything i want to do but competition is looking pretty stiff. i'm staying hopeful and confident though. until i find out, just gonna keep going to gigs whenever i can. ladyhawke this past thursday, martin solveig tonight and pearl jam tomorrow. can't wait.
TVC
ok, no hate but EPIC LEVELS OF JEALOUSY. i'm listening to the album for the first time now. i had to wait until i had the actual cd before i heard it. brilliant. how do you get to all these gigs? sydney? san fran? seattle and LA? explain how this all works as i need to get on board whatever train this is.
Re: Congrats
Hey thanks heaps! Yeah i was pretty stoked to see my photos in the email, shows that someone is actually looking at them :) cheers, cam

Work? (cough lol) I work retail for Aussie label Marcs, most of my shifts are at David Jones lol, I'm pretty good at the selling thing n pretty much its the ultimate day job while I'm at Uni n savin money for the next trip, gig finances and its flexible so i can go off on work experience when it comes up every now n then lol please don't tell me you're on this trip as a job?

Re: Anberlin cover
Nothing beats a good Smiths cover! Have you heard the tribute album The Smiths Is Dead? Contains some absolute gems like Billy Bragg covering 'Never Had No One Ever'.
trashbags
I used to be their Melbourne correspondent on the their blog Trashbagskids, but I got kicked off last week cos I posted too many illegal tunes. I normally stated they were for promotional use but they axed me anyway. bad as. apparently they run a pretty good night though, i've never been

I posted a Mixtape. Download, listen, judge comment. GO!
MOOG!
ha! what a brilliant story! what this company your dad runs all about?
NKOTB
hehe ...one of my first too! not my proudest moment in gig history, but they were all the rage and I too was screaming out for Donnie, Jordan ....and whatever the other 3 were called! Funny...
Moog?
Is your last name really Moog? Or is it in reference to the synthesizer? either way, very cool.
beer throwing
ha!
i once went to coke live and someone threw plastic bottles!
hey
whats up? cheers for the addage
Ja Rule
Ha na no Ja Rule in there back then, but funny thing though... very recently a friend who's usually big on folk n acoustic stuff has been goin through this late major ninetees rap/r'n'b phase like Nelly, 112, Fat Joe, Ashanti, Ja Rule and she got me back into Ja Rule's "livin it up" in a big way hahaha. Truth is, although the song is really about one night stands and shooting people the second that song hits with the synth trumpets..you're done for and no matter how bad you feel, that song will make you feel better lol
Captain El Rang at yer servoice...
Cause Ranga's have always been at the forefront of everything that's cool!! Hip-thrusting, yo-yo's, hypercolour t shirts, warhead lollies etc. Viva Le Rang!! :) Good luck Soph! Redd
lily
Yeah I hear ya on that one.....her gig was only a couple of months ago.....was nothing special really. I saw her a few years back at the Big Day Out and she was faaaaaar better.....think she lost the passion since then. She recently said she was going to quit music, only to be announced for next year's BDO 2 weeks later!!! I just don't get it. Maybe she does need a hug.....
cheers for the addage :)
You have some great pics up!! Really enjoying the profile pic.....really captures what it's like being in a crowd. Keep up the good work ;)
Thanks!
For the add, love! Rock on \m/
